So an app will go only so far these days. Never fear, now your iPhone case can open bottles. For only $20 bucks, it doesn’t seem like a bad deal.

Dropbox is a great place to put all your digital stuff
This video really showcases the simplicity and usefulness of DropBox. I’ve been using it for sometime now and I find it to be invaluable. Being able to access my important documents from various devices such as my iPhone, MacBook Pro, and Mac desktops makes my digital world work. I especially like the fact that DropBox keeps a history of every change I make so that I can undo any mistakes and even undelete files if necessary.
Here’s a quick overview:
- Allows quick, easy way to share files
- It’s free up to 2gb of storage
- Online backup is automatic
- Allows you go back in time to undelete or undo changes to files
Dropbox replaces:
- Emailing file attachments to yourself and other people
- Using USB drives to move files between computers
- Renaming files to keep a history of previous versions
- Complicated backup software
- FTP servers, system-specific sharing methods, Network Attached Storage (NAS)
Simple pricing plan:
- FREE up to 2gb
- $9.95 per month up to 50gb
- $19.95 per month up to 100gb
If you have multiple devices and require access to the latest and greatest files, I encourage you to give it a spin.
Los Angeles band “The 88″ records “Love is the thing” entirely on an iPhone!
While touring on the road with the B-52s, “The 88” lead vocalist Keith Slettedahl disovered and downloaded the “four track” app. Collectively as a band they thought they would attempt to record an entire song on the iPhone. Yep, there’s an app for that! Not only is it a great catchy tune, but it sounds fantastic as well!

Ze Frank strikes again with a funny new app! You don’t even have to visit the app store to get it!
Kindle iPhone app
Kindle - A slick hand-held book reading device by Amazon – was all the buzz in the book publishing world when it was released back in November, 2007. Amazon was by no means the first to release a hand-held portable book reader far as technology was concerned. Others were first but the Kindle was the first to reach mass appeal. For starters it was deployed on the oldest and best known online book store. Surely this fact alone helped propel the Kindle to where it is today.
In February, 2009 Amazon released the much improved Kindle 2 which boasts more storage and a slimmer curvier design. Although I had always admired the Kindle from afar, it didn’t really seem practical for me to carry yet another device with me.
Fast forward to 2009 when Amazon released a Kindle app for iPhone (Also for iTouch). Free to download, the Kindle iPhone app is phenomenal! At first I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not. However, after reading two pages of “The Four Hour Work Week” I was hooked. There is a control to vary the font size which is a rather well thought out feature. I started out with the smallest font size. After my eyes grew tired, I increased the font size. Nice! And with over 240,000 books to choose from, you can’t go wrong.
Since I already had an Amazon account, I was able to quickly download my first book. I attribute the success if the Kindle to the Amazon store. Think about it, how many people have an account there. Exactly. Much like Apple has done with the App Store for iPhone, Amazon has built it’s own content delivery system for the kindle. The difference is that people don’t have to learn something new or log into a new site. There is something to be said about instant gratification.
If you own an iPhone or a iTouch and you’re an avid reader, I strongly recommend this app!
Extend your iPhone battery life with a Mophie Juice Pack

Finally an iPhone battery pack that fit’s all my criteria. The Mophie Juice Pack has a beautiful form-fitting design and it’s definitely one of the best I’ve seen. It is also lightweight and features a soft-touch coating. The pack also doubles as a case for added protection.
One of the features I really like is the fact that once the juice pack is attached, it’s intelligent power distribution tells the iPhone to always drain the pack first. This always leaves you with a fully charged iPhone ready to go. Simply adding the pack will more than double your iPhone battery life! There are also four LED status indicator s so you will always know exactly how much power is left in your juice pack. This feature alone is a competition killer.
Sure it’s a bit more expensive than alternative choices out there. However, few look as nice or are as full featured.
Get one at the Apple Store.
iPhone – It’s just absolutely perfect!
iPhone – an item of great desire. The box… ahhh… NO! IT’S JUST A BOX!! I’m a huge Apple fan but this video really made me laugh. I mean c’mon… get a life already!
Ikea rules!

Ikea is probably one of the best known global brands. Thank god they finally built one in my neck of the woods.
Their top notch design, no nonsense approach is at the heart of their success. It’s hard to walk through, what seems like miles of aisles, and leave empty handed.

Top 10 best iPhone optimized sites

It seems like only yesterday that I, along with hundreds of Mac enthusiasts, waited for over three hours last June 29th to purchase an iPhone. A year has nearly passed and I couldn’t imagine life without my iPhone. For starters – I have quite a few email accounts. Ten to be exact. The usual emails – Work, several personal, Yahoo, Gmail, my spam account, etc. I check most of my email on the iPhone. Previously, I would log into my Yahoo email only to be overwhelmed by the 1000+ emails. After checking a few emails I would get discouraged and would soon log out. One of the consequences of not checking some of these email accounts often would be a missed domain renewal. Ouch. Now thanks to iPhone I stay up to date with any new inbound emails.
Early on it was basically just the internet in your pocket. Since then, many Web entities have set up iPhone optimized sites. Here are my top 10 picks in no particular order:
01 Foxnews
The best news site for iPhone. An extremely well designed interface and video integration. (CNN has some catching up to do!)
02. Meebo
Hand-down the best instant messaging app for the iPhone. (Until apple releases a native version of iChat that is) Works with AIM, Yahoo, Google talk, and MSN.
03. Popurls
Great interface of the popular preselected RSS aggregater.
04. Bank of America
Wins best of show in the bank category. Well done! (Good thing I bank with them)
05. LinkedIn
Where business meets social. It could use some improvements but it’s not bad.
06. Amazon
Simple, yet well done interface. Whenever you’re out shopping, you can always get use Amazon as a good barometer for cost. Looks more like a PC than a Mac.
07. iGoogle
Probably the best RSS aggregator in the land. The regular version allows you to set up multiple RSS feeds in arranged in category tabs that you define. This translates beautifully to the iPhone. It’s non-linear interface should serve as an inspiration to other developers. Although, why Google has yet to create a iPhone icon is a mystery to me.
08. Digg
The standard community site for the latest content on the web. I always find great things to read on Digg.
09. Facebook
It’s featured in the latest Apple commercial. Need I say more…
10. Jajah
The best VOIP phone site on the planet. The interface is perfectly executed. Easy to make calls once you’ve set up your contact list. Uses a similar iPhone keypad for entering numbers.
